Tatiana Cater

Dance Faculty photoTatiana comes to the Patel Conservatory originally from Moscow, Russia where she was born, raised, and trained in classical ballet. She has been extensively trained and experienced in styles including: Vaganova, Balanchine, Russian Classical, and more.


From 1989-1993, she toured Europe under the training of Rick Atwell and then made her way to the International Ballet Collective in Moscow where she was selected as a dancer to travel to Palma de Maiorka, Spain for a National Television appearance. From 1993-1995, Mrs. Tatiana was under the training and shadowing of ballerinas from all over the world. She then went on to teach many styles of dance including: Ballet, Modern, and creative dance process.


Mrs. Tatiana moved to the states and became an Olympic Ballet Theatre choreographer in Edmonds, WA from 1995-2006. She was a coach and student mentor for over 18 years and represented OBT at Regional Dance America in 2004.


From there, Mrs. Tatiana had the opportunity to begin teaching at the Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle, WA. At PNB, she led and taught ballet and character dance to students of all levels. She taught classical ballet, implemented changes to instructional programs, and planned dance initiatives.
She joined the staff of the Next Generation Ballet and Patel Conservatory Youth ballet in 2013 where she imparts her knowledge ballet technique and coaching.
